(GWANGJU=NEWSIS) The 2014 Gwangju Art Fair will open on August 29 at the Kim Daejung Convention Center, Gwangju.

The 2014 Gwangju Art Fair is hosted by the City of Gwangju and co-organized by the Korean Fine Arts Association and Gwangju Cultural Foundation. About 400 artists from 81 galleries in 11 countries will participate and exhibit about 1,500 pieces.

It would be a great opportunity to witness the trend of modern art as visitors will be able to see not only the masterpieces of Man Ray, Andy Warhol, Hosoe Eiko, Nam June Paik and Lee U Fan, but also the works of galleries in the United States, France, Germany, Japan and China.

The special exhibitions will include an exhibition on modern photos, Andy Warhol and media art.

Other activities include a collaboration project between Fujifilm and art students of Chosun University, space installation art project to encourage participation of visitors, PR exhibition of young artist and international exchange project to introduce Chinese artists in Beijing.
