(NAJU=Yonhap News) The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) held an opening ceremony for the Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City (Bitgaram City) on September 18.

A total of KRW 35 billion was invested in the construction of the Naju Headquarter (5-story building with a basement).

KOCCA, with its relocation to Naju, is engaged in promoting regional contents industry based on the culture and creative ideas of the region.

The relocation of KOCCA will also help vitalize the projects of the Hub City of Asian Culture.

KOCCA was formed in 2009 by integrating the Korea Culture & Content Agency, Korea Broadcasting Institute, Korea Game Industry Agency, Korea Culture Information Service Agency and the Digital Contents Team of the Korea Software Industry Association.
