(GWANGJU=NEWSIS) The Gwangju Metropolitan City Corporation (GMCC) plans to proactively promote small scale and low density urban regeneration project and ensure more regional construction companies to take part in the project.

The newly appointed President Jo Yong-Jun of GMCC announced on October 8 to promote small scale and low density urban regeneration project, create theme-oriented community village and establish welfare houses. The Corporation will encourage more regional construction companies to participate in the project to boost the regional economy.

President Jo also suggested the Corporation’s management plan including the establishment of a 21 century industrial complex to revitalize the regional economy, advancement of management and operation of public facilities, organization management to improve productivity, management of human resources, transparent and fair accounting management, creation of a corporate culture based on trust and coexistence and establishment of a close cooperative system with the City council.
