Gwangju Signs Investment & Export Agreement with Japanese Companies

(GWANGJU=NEWSIS) Gwangju announced November 17 that it has reached KRW 103.6 billion worth of investment and export agreement with Japanese companies.

According to Gwangju, the city signed three investment agreements worth KRW 13.68 billion and one export agreement worth KRW 90 billion.

NOROO Automotive Coatings Co., Ltd. and Nippon Paint, the largest paint company in Japan, will co-invest KRW 5 billion in the construction of a base for paint logistics in the Jingok Industrial Complex to supply automobile paints to their partnering companies including Kia Motors.

K Tech Korea Co., Ltd., situated in the Pyeongdong industrial complex, signed an export agreement with Shimizu Corporation to export KRW 90 billion worth of steel structures for the next three years.

"I thank the leaders of the companies for investing in Gwangju. We will spare no effort in providing sufficient infrastructure and one-stop services to the companies," said Gwangju Mayor Yoon Jang-Hyun.
