(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Gwangju City announced August 5 that the construction of the Gwangju Innobiz Center will be completed by October.

The center (10-story building with an underground floor, gross floor area 14,768㎡) is being built on 23,150㎡ of land in the Gwangju High-Tech Science Industrial Complex in the Research and Development Special Zone, Wolchul-dong, Buk-gu.

The center, which will become the advanced base for the creative economy of Honam region, is about 80 percent complete.

The vessel-shaped building will comprise office spaces, exhibition halls, meeting rooms and information search support facilities.

The headquarters of the Gwangju Research and Development Special Zone, venture capitals, technology support institutions and research and development centers will move to the center.
