According to Yonhap News,

(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Ulsan has drawn up this year's regional industry promotion plan, aiming to lead the fourth industrial revolution and boost its ailing shipbuilding industry.

Under the goal of rejuvenating the regional economy by leading the forth industrial revolution, Ulsan has come up with four policy directions: establishing ecosystem for new strategic industries; innovating creative technologies of mainstay industries; building the foundation for strategic corporate investment; and strengthening capabilities to lead the industrial revolution.

To put such plans into action, the city will inject a total of KRW 45 billion, including KRW 31.9 billion of national expenditures.

Starting with main industries such as eco-friendly auto parts, fine chemistry, shipbuilding equipment, energy components, and environment, the city aims to spark economic revitalization.

Along with such efforts, the city will actively work on cooperation projects among cities and provinces in the field of nano convergence materials, auto convergence parts, and shipbuilding and offshore plant.

The city will also develop regional strategic industries by setting up technology training center for petrochemical process and establishing R&D infrastructure for 3D printing-applied environmentally friendly car parts.
