"3D Printing Korea" to be held in Ulsan on September 4-6

(ULSAN=Yonhap News) "3D Printing Korea 2019 in Ulsan" is to be held at Ulsan University on September 4-6.

It is hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City and organized by Ulsan Information Promotion Agency. Global companies and renowned speakers participate to share insights into 3D printing technologies.

The City, since selecting 3D printing as a regional strategic industry in 2015, has been pursuing technology development, quality assessment, and talent cultivation in connection with existing key industries.

In particular, the City is at the forefront of creating industry ecosystem by carrying out large government projects, including establishment of 3D printing manufacturing process research center for next-generation shipbuilding energy parts, establishment of 3D printing eco-friendly car parts commercialization related technologies, and 3D printing materials commercialization quality assessment system.

This event is the third time since first launched in 2017, and attracted more than 10,000 participants every year.

This year's event runs Global Enterprise Special Zone, Ulsan Enterprise Special Zone, and offers various international and national seminar, and experience programs for citizens.

Exhibition, participated by 34 companies from 5 countries, is categorized into six sections by region and area, displaying items at 60 booths, supporting marketing and consultation.

The seminars prepared during three days will provide Korean companies with information on the latest technology trend of international 3D printing industry.

Other side events include 3D printing auto experience, food tasting, VR/drone experience and other experience programs.
