UNIST- UMCC signed an MOU for partnership to support local MICE industry
Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) and Ulsan Metropolitan City Corporation (UMCC) sighed a memorandum of understanding for partnership to support local MICE industry, MICE is an acronym for Meeting, Incentive Travel, Convention, and Exhibition tourism segment, at the presence of the head of both parties on May 8.
Main agenda for the MOU include forming solidarity, sharing information on major events and going into business in partnership with. The main focus went to the opening of Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center, due in 2021. UNIST pledged to host a series of seasonal conferences, whereas UMCC takes the role of amenities support.
The convention center, a three story building with a sub basement, is now under construction on a 42,982 square meter site near Ulju-gun.
Both parties reached a consensus to make concerted efforts to help local MICE industry further prosperous.
