Ulsan city to run an investment promotion program to help early VC startups
The city of Ulsan announced on Sep 4 that the local government plans to run a city-led program, focusing primarily on investment promotion targeting early stage startups with limited sources of funding triggered by the recent coronavirus shock.
With the support of Creative Economy Innovation Center, Ulsan Office, local VC startup institutions picked eight potential candidates recommended for their full potential to further thrive. These promising candidates are reported to be mostly in need of financial help to be ready to scale up or launch product release.
The two month program starting from Sep 4 allows them to join a course of on and offline education programs designed to enhance individual capabilities to attract investment such as how to write up a business plan, join customized mentoring service based upon research data on consumption demand by each enterprise and one-on-one counseling service with business specialists. Inviting investmentors based in the Seoul metropolitan area, the city will also run an investor pitch for fundraising.
