Ulsan city formed a consortium “startup networking group” with 18 state agencies

The city of Ulsan announced on Sep 10 that the local authorities formed an organization of stakeholders together, called “startup networking group”, for a shared purpose of business support programs further intensified. The consortium consists of 18 industry-government agencies responsible for business support activities and investment which include the city government, Ulsan Economic Promotion Agency, SMEs and startup Agency Ulsan Office, Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO) Ulsan Office and HYUNDAI Technology Investment.

By opening the first round of talks, Ulsan city shared success stories of three local startups with members, exchanging thoughts on post COVID-19 business strategies.

A city official at the event said “It is startups we believe that would take the new leadership role in the COVID-19 economy.” adding that “We’ll give them a leg up to help them bounce back and take off again to stave off the current crisis.”
