According to Yonhap News,

The business sentiment in the manufacturing sector in Ulsan recorded its highest level in more than 10 years on the back of the vibrant petrochemical industry.

According to the business sentiment data for July announced by the Ulsan office of the Bank of Korea on August 2, the business sentiment index (BSI) in manufacturing industry was 100, up 7 points from the previous month (93).

It is the highest level in 10 years and 1 month since June 2011 (103) that the BSI of the manufacturing industry recorded 100, the threshold point.

Although the metal products industry recorded a decline from the previous month, an increase in optimistic responses from the petrochemical industry, which accounts for a significant part in the Ulsan's industries, seems to have been reflected.

The Ulsan office of the Bank of Korea conducted a survey of 284 companies in the manufacturing and non-manufacturing industries from July 14 to July 21.

The national manufacturing industry BSI in July was 97, lower than Ulsan.
