Ulsan-si announced on April 28 that it would establish a Regional Logistics Master Plan (2023-2032) with the vision of 'a leading city in eco-friendly and smart industrial and consumer logistics'.

This maser plan consists of 79 projects with 7 strategies to : make logistics facilities smart and advanced; share, connect, and converge logistics services; strengthen the competitiveness of local small and medium-sized logistics companies; and make logistics transportation means eco-friendly.

A total of KRW 11.747 trillion will be invested in the project.

Projects by strategy include: ▲ 9 projects in the areas of expansion and improvement of logistics facilities ▲ 30 projects in the field of establishing a connected logistics system without disconnection between logistics bases ▲ 7 areas in the area of improving the efficiency of the local logistics system through shared logistics and informatization and efficient cargo vehicle traffic management ▲ 10 projects in the field of maintenance of convenient, consumer-oriented logistics systems.

Also included are: ▲ 6 projects in the field of strengthening the competitiveness of the local logistics industry by improving the strength of small and medium-sized logistics companies and fostering manpower in logistics ▲ 14 projects in the field of establishing a sustainable and safe eco-friendly logistics system in response to climate change ▲ 3 projects in laying the foundation for commercialization of the Arctic route to expand the northern logistics network.

The city will deliberate on this master plan this afternoon and announce it in early June.
