Ulsan to operate PR booth to showcase key energy projects at WGC

Ulsan-si announced that it would run a PR booth to promote Ulsan's key energy projects at the 2022 World Gas Conference (WGC) held at EXCO, Daegu on May 24-27.

The WGC is the world's biggest energy event, celebrating the 28th anniversary this year, and held every 3 years.

It is conducted by the International Gas Union (IGU), hosted by the Korea Gas Union, a member of the IGU, and attended by about 130 exhibitors from 80 countries around the world, and 10,000 visitors.

The city will introduce regional key energy projects including hydrogen and offshore wind power, with a focus on the oil and gas hub of Northeast Asia.

It is also set to promote the Ulsan Free Economic Zone and investment incentives, conducting investment consultations with companies in the key strategic industries field including hydrogen, low-carbon energy, future mobility, and future chemical and new materials.

A city official said, "we will promote Ulsan's capabilities as a global energy hub, capable of providing eco-friendly and stable energy supply by making use of various energy resources including oil, natural gas, hydrogen, and offshore wind power."
