Ulsan Metropolitan City announced that 'Fund Aid Agreement Ceremony for Humanitarian Assistance to Ukraine' is to be held on Nov. 30, with the presence of Ulsan City Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom and the Head of the FAO Partnership and Liaison Office Seoul

In pursuant to the agreement, the city will send KRW 100 million in a year to the Food and Agricultural Organization(FAO), and the organization will use the fund to provide 500 local farmhouses in Odessa with irrigation equipment.

Odesa is Ukraine's biggest port city and a tourist destination nearing the black sea. Also, it has a population of 1.01 million and operates key industries are shipbuilding, tourism, and harbor works. Also, it is a strategic fortress/ hub

However, multiple shelling strikes have led to the destruction of the agricultural base, and it appears difficult to harvest crops and vegetables next spring. An Ulsan City Official said, "We decided to help Odessa to help the residents return to normalcy and to promote exchanges between two municipalities after the war is over.
