According to Newsis,

Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on Jan. 25 that the project 'Learning Support Tutoring,' through which undergraduates can help teenage students to have after-school learning and consultations, would be run starting this April.

The project was drawn up to fend off students failing to adapt in school and not attaining the basic level of education stemming from the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic. Any student whose homeroom teacher recommends extra learning or any student who hopes to participate is eligible to apply.

The Education Office plans to operate the program every semester or every year by appointing undergraduates to the middle and high schools where they aspire to work. Ulsan University and UNIST signed an MOU to be entrusted with selecting tutors, teaching, and management.

Meanwhile, last year, 146 students from 20 schools participated in the tutoring project, with 40 college students working as tutors.
