According to Yonhap News,
Oh Yeon-cheon, the sitting president of University of Ulsan, was appointed the 12th president by the board.
Since he first took the position at the 10th president in Mar. 2015, he is to serve his third term as the president once again.
He will serve a four-year term until February 2027.
President Oh graduated from Seoul National University and holds a Ph.D. from New York University in the US.
He worked as a professor at Seoul National University in back in 1983, became the 25th president of the school in 2010, and also joined Stanford University as a guest professor in 2015.
