Ulsan sets up the Smart Tourism Promotion Plan.

The city holds a briefing session on research service for the Smart Tourism Promotion Plan on Apr. 19 in its control room. Various topics covering research promotion plans and development of smart tourism specialized for the city are to be discussed.

The core missions of the research are providing guideposts for smart tourism based on the traits and strengths of Ulsan, establishing long-term strategies of Ulsan smart tourism, and finding measures for advancement and expansion of the smart tourism online system.

With an aim to make sure the research bears fruits that lead to a sustainable smart tourism business, Ulsan plans to embrace various voices of people of all shapes and sizes such as experts in this issue from both in and out of this city, users of the smart tourism online system, and data collected from social networks.

Smart tourism refers to ICT-combined tourism services offering better experience, transportation information, etc. to visitors.

An official of Ulsan city said, "The research that we promote will present Ulsan with a chance to secure values like competitiveness, scalability, and sustainability and, at the same time, move forward to a Smart Tourism City Ulsan."
