Ulsan City Provides Process Transition Supports to Heavy-Emitting SMEs

Ulsan city announced on May 15 that it plans to offer supports to heavy-emitting companies by diagnosing their process transition and providing consultation.

Those who are eligible to apply for the supports are SMEs, which are deemed to inevitably suffer losses while implementing green transition in manufacturing processes for carbon neutrality.

They will be provided with a range of supports such as establishment of arbon neutrality strategies, consultation on technologies and business management for installing optimal carbon-recuction facilities, process analyzation, market survey, and etc.

The target sectors of supports industries of basic metals, vehicle and trailer, non-metallic minerals, refined petroleum products, chemical materials and chemical products among other heavy-emitting industries.

By implementing this project, Ulsan will assist local companies of heavy-emitting industries (chemicals, automobile, shipbuilding) to transition their manufacturing processes into environment friendly ones and identify and foster leading corporations in green transition to hit the target of carbon neutrality.

Companies which are selected for the support will be granted up to KRW 10 million for consulting service on process transition and carbon neutrality.
