On January 24, Ulju-gun, Ulsan-si, announced that it has attracted a total of KRW 87.5 billion in new investments by actively attracting investment from companies.

Ulju-gun held an MOU signing ceremony with companies that want to make new investment and investment promotion subsidy delivery ceremony with companies that completed making investment at the county office.

Official from 9 companies considering investment and 3 companies completed investment attended the ceremonies. Those considering investment this year include Sun-tech, Jeilsteel, The SNC, Prime Auto, Uconcreative, CALAB, Kemi-Works, SJ Eng, and Safe.

Under the agreement, these companies will invest a total of KRW 87.5 billion, endeavoring to revitalize the local economy and hire a total of 200 local residents.

The county will provide administrative support to ensure these companies' investments to proceed successfully, and will provide investment promotion subsidies when they finish implementing the investments.

The county also delivered investment promotion subsidies to three companies that completed implementing investments.

The three companies are Haesung Industry, The KS, and IGE, and the total amount of subsidies reached KRW 1.73 billion.

Haesung Industry is manufacture of shipbuilding equipment, located in Ungchon Waji General Industrial Complex, and has invested KRW 4.8 billion, creating 36 new jobs.

The KS is a chemical product manufacturer in Onsan National Industrial Complex, which invested KRW 10.8 billion and hired 21 new employees.

IGE, a manufacturer of sport boats, located in Seosaeng Energy Convergence Industrial Complex, invested KRW 5. 7 billion and created 17 new jobs.

A county governor said, "we will continue to discover and attract companies looking for investment to revitalize the local economy and create jobs."
