According to Yonhap News,

On February 13, Ulsan-si announced that they will conduct on-site consultations with local foreign-invested companies, with an aim of revitalizing foreign investment.

The consultation will be conducted by selecting 30 foreign-invested companies that have invested more than USD 50 million and major companies with potential investment capacity.

The city will proactively identify investment trends through these visits, while listening to their grievances such as constraints on investment, and discussing measures to resolve them.

By doing so, the city plans to introduce the latest policy trends including special benefits in connection with the government policies and strengths in making investment in the region.

The city's strategy is to make efforts in follow-up management so that the interest of potential investing companies can lead to actual investment by attracting re-investment through promotion of the city's various policies such as licensing support.

In particular, the city plans to provide administrative support such as rapid licensing if it discovers a large-scale investment project by actively utilizing the "Field Support Team for Companies in Ulsan," launched in January this year.

The city expects to build mutual trust by enhancing on-going communication and cooperation through these on-site visits to companies.

Meanwhile, the city achieved KRW 1.242 billion in FDI last year, despite gloomy global investment sentiment.

Building on such achievement, the city plans to step up efforts to attract foreign investment through active marketing activities aiming global companies by holding roundtable with foreign-invested companies, dispatching trade delegation, and holding investment briefing sessions, among others.
