According to Yonhap News,

On January 31, Ulsan-si announced that it will establish and push for the "Trade Support Implementation Plan" this year to expand the export of local SMEs.

This plan consists of 20 projects across four areas: overseas market exploration support, export package support by growth stage, overseas marketing support, and strengthening capabilities to respond to changes in the trade environment.

A total of KRW 2.49 billion will be invested in these projects.

In the overseas market exploration support area, the city will send trade delegations and market exploration teams to help SMEs looking to expand overseas, and provide support for participation in major international exhibitions and trade fairs.

In the export package support by growth stage area, SMEs will receive tailored support based on their export performance, categorized into beginner, promising, and small but strong enterprises.

In the overseas marketing support area, the city will expand international express overseas logistics cost subsidies and assist SMEs with marketing activities from preparation for export to contract finalization.

A city official stated, "Despite numerous export constraints due to uncertainties following the new U.S. administration, we will make efforts to expand SME exports through organic cooperation between the city and export support organizations."

Last year, the city implemented 21 trade support projects across four areas with a budget of KRW 2.495 billion, supporting 1,276 SMEs.
