Ulsan to step up on-site support for local investment companies
On February 19, Ulsan-si will hold a meeting of the corporate site support task force (TF) at the construction site of Hyundai Motor’s electric vehicle (EV) plant.
At the meeting, to be attended by about 20 people, participants will share the results of corporate site support activities and discuss key plans for this year, as well as the progress of Hyundai Motor's investment project and the challenges faced by businesses.
According to the key plans, the city will continue to strengthen on-site support for local investment companies this year.
In addition to the current corporate site support TF, the city plans to operate a coordination body with relevant agencies to complete a one-stop support system for addressing business challenges.
For small and medium-sized enterprises that have signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with the city, the city will reduce support gaps to a minimum by assigning regional managers and conducting on-site surveys of business issues.
The city will also share corporate site support expertise with public officials in charge of permits in the five districts and will run an academy to train dedicated site support managers in each district.
Ulsan's mayor said, "We will continue to expand on-site support to directly listen to businesses and address the practical challenges they face."
Hyundai Motor's representative said, "We will actively seek continuous investment to make Ulsan the center of eco-friendly vehicle production."
