According to Yonhap News,

Ulsan's European Investment Promotion Delegation participated in the '2025 Korea-Sweden Energy Transition Forum' held in Stockholm, Sweden, and held an IR session on June 12 (local time).

This forum, jointly hosted by KOTRA and the Swedish Trade and Investment Office, aims to exchange information on energy industry trends and cooperation opportunities between the two countries. It was held for the second time this year, following last year's event.

From Korea, about 30 officials from energy-related institutions and companies, including Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and Doosan Enerbility, participated.

In Sweden, about 70 participants representing government agencies and businesses, including Tobias Andersson, chairman of the Committee on Industry and Trade of the Swedish parliament, and Sara Modig, Deputy Minister of the Swedish Ministry of Climate and Industry, attended the event.

The forum consisted of presentations on industrial trends and case studies in the power generation sector, including renewable energy and nuclear power, as well as discussions on power grids and power equipment, followed by one-on-one business meetings.

The Ulsan's delegation promoted Ulsan, an energy-focused city, to Swedish companies. In particular, they emphasized the advantages of Ulsan, which, under the "Special Act on Distributed Energy Activation" implemented in June of last year, has established a legal basis for the city to consume electricity produced locally.

Furthermore, the delegation introduced Ulsan's hydrogen infrastructure, including a 198km-long hydrogen pipeline network and 17 hydrogen refueling stations, as well as its efforts to integrate businesses across the entire hydrogen value chain encompassing production, storage, transportation, and utilization.

The head of the investment promotion delegation (Ulsan's Economic Vice Mayor) stated, "The forum provided an opportunity to understand global trends in the energy industry. We hope to hear news of investments in Ulsan from the companies we met with in the near future."
