Ulsan-si held a 'U-IMPACT Future Growth Strategy Report' meeting
On December 16, Ulsan-si held the 'U-IMPACT Future Growth Strategy Report' meeting at the city hall conference room, discussing strategies for creating growth drivers for Ulsan-style new industries.
Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), which conducted the Ulsan-style model research, presented several strategies including: Designing a reliable manufacturing AI-data fusion ecosystem; Concretizing the 'Q-JUMP' project to foster Ulsan-style quantum industries; A strategy for next-generation semiconductor material-based new industry growth engines; Connecting digital-based aging research with the development of treatment drugs; and Developing sustainable hydrogen and hydrocarbon innovation technologies to promote Ulsan's chemical industry leadership in carbon neutrality.
The research also involved the UNIST Future Strategy Institute, which was newly established in May to develop policies for regional innovation, providing scientific and technological insights and strategic perspectives on complex industrial structures.
Based on the research results, Ulsan-si plans to establish a direction for the convergence of regional specialized technologies and refine the medium- to long-term future industry roadmap.
Additionally, the city intends to immediately utilize the research for responding to government-sponsored projects and planning national strategic initiatives.
Ulsan's mayor stated, "In the rapidly changing industrial and technological environment, we will accelerate the convergence of advanced technologies and core industries to secure Ulsan's future competitiveness as a manufacturing city. We will strongly alilgn with government policies and budgets to ensure the early establishment of a technology-convergence industrial transformation and the creation of a virtuous cycle in the regional industrial ecosystem."
