According to Yonhap News,
Ulsan City is planning to establish 2025 development plan for the financial industry. The city said on Jan. 11 that it will finish establishing development plan by June that lasts from 2012 to 2025 for the financial industry by assigning the task to Ulsan Development Research Institute.
The plan includes specific direction for development and vision being classified into four areas, such as providing support for SMEs, enhancing the role of regional financial institutions, increasing oil hub-related financial capacity and achieving long-term targets.
Along with the plan, the city has decided to develop implementation agenda on an individual sector basis with Ulsan Association for Development of Financial Industry.
Lee Gi-won, Director of Economy and Commerce of Ulsan City said, "We will support sustainable growth of the real economy with the strategy of cultivating the financial service industry, since weak financial condition could lead to imbalanced financial support based on the size of corporations and outflow of regional assets."
