Ulsan recorded the largest corporate investment in 2011

According to Yonhap News,

Ulsan said on Jan. 2 that it recorded the largest corporate investment in 2011. The city attracted 3.2426 trillion KRW from a total of 150 companies and expected the job creation of 8,000 from the companies.

It recorded 802.07 billion KRW (from 85 companies) in corporate investment in 2007, 2.45978 trillion KRW (from 13) in 2008, 1.98908 trillion KRW (from 56) in 2009, and 750.93 billion KRW (from 49) in 2010.

Foreign investments from 11 companies including Alchemy are expected to record 1.0396 trillion KRW last year.

Among investment companies, 113 companies will occupy general industrial complexes in Gilcheon, Sinilban, Maegok and Jungsan and 34 companies will do business in Ulsan and Onsan national industrial complexes. The rest three will select the location on an individual basis.

Ulsan Mayor Park Maeng-u said that "Our aggressive investment strategies that include thorough analysis of corporate demands, establishment of customized industrial complex and providing infrastructure supports have paid off," adding that "We will provide all possible resources to help companies succeed."
