According to Newsis,

Wacker Chemicals Korea, the Germany-based chemicals group, held a completion ceremony for the expansion of its vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) copolymer factory in Ulsan Wednesday with Vice Economy Mayor Jang Man-seok, representatives of the German headquarters and others attending.

Wacker Chemicals Korea is 100 percent owned by Wacker with the total investment worth 16 billion won.

The German company invested 20 billion won to expand its production and storage facilities and build a main building.

The expansion is expected to almost double the annual production output of the factory from 50,000 tons to 90,000 tons.

Wacker Chemicals Korea manufactures VAE copolymer dispersions under its VINNAPAS trademark, well-known for creating more added values as compared to existing products. The product is widely used in our daily lives - adhesives for construction materials, furniture and cigarettes, paint, sanitary products and filters for air conditioners and vehicles.
