Ulsan reported that 616 companies in the region invested KRW 394 billion last year to improve the environment.

The investment in water quality was used to expand wastewater treatment plants and replace dilapidated facilities. The investment in stench was used to seal bad smells and build regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs).

Of all the investors, forty-seven companies invested more than KRW 1 billion each.

A hundred twenty seven companies plan to invest KRW 251 billion this year.
