Ulsan is preparing to expand its cultural exchanges with Queenstown, New Zealand, a city famous for the Southern Alps and beautiful nature.

Invited by Mayor Vanessa van Uden of Queenstown, Mayor Park Maeung-u of Ulsan and his team will visit New Zealand for four nights and six days from April 29 to May 4.

The two cities will exchange opinions on ways to boost mountain tourism and train tour experts. Ulsan College will sign a memorandum of understanding with Queenstown Resort College to support the training of experts.

Also, Ulsan will invite 20 people from the local tourism sector to a session that aims to promote tourism through mutual cooperation.

“In celebration of Visit Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam Year, we are making efforts to attract foreign tourists. We believe that the tourism service industry will make a big leap through collaboration with education and research organizations,” said an Ulsan official.
