Ulsan to Create 34,000 Jobs in 2014

(ULSAN = Newsis) The city of Ulsan decided that it will create more than 34,000 jobs in 2014.

The city announced its job creation initiative for 2014 on February 11, and it will invest about KRW 539.8 billion in 79 unit projects of four fields to create more than 34,000 jobs this year.

The city plans to create 26,222 new jobs from 47 projects, 2,432 jobs from 10 support service for employment and resolution of mismatch between job openings and job seekers, 1,405 jobs from 12 projects that aim to help vulnerable social class strengthen vocational abilities and provide job trainings and 4,019 jobs from 10 projects related to local infrastructure development and SOC business projects.

Key unit projects are as follows: international and domestic business attraction activities, support project for startups and establishment of plants, Ulsan Four Major Rivers Development project, local community project, development of town businesses and social enterprises, operation of employment support centers, support for young CEOs, long-term internship for industrial businesses, support women’s vocational ability development, development of customized industrial sites, construction of roads between Ok-dong and Nongso, development of Gangdong region and various job fairs.

Meanwhile, the city held a briefing session to announce its scheme for job creation for the year of 2014 at the city hall. The briefing session was attended by city officials and other officials of relevant authorities.
