Ulsan Kicks Off Construction of Complex Welcome Center

(ULSAN = Newsis) Ulju-gun held a groundbreaking ceremony for Yeongnam Alps Complex Center and artificial rock wall on March 3.

The construction of the welcome center is the main project to stimulate the Yeongnam Alps region’s tourism industry. The center will be a two-story building on its 2,113m2 areas.

Its facilities include a discovery center, Alps sculptor park, recreational area, Ul-bit observation deck, mountain emergency rescue center, mountain leisure & sports support center and cafeteria.

The county will also build 1,200 parking spaces including some temporary parking lots.

The county will build an artificial rock wall (5,272m2) in the nearby area to host various international competitions.

The county expects that the complex welcome center will become a hub of culture and tourism and attract tourists from other regions in the nation.
