ULSAN < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Ulsan has attracted more companies in 2014 than the previous year while the investment has decreased.

According to the city on February 24, it has attracted 58 companies with investment of KRW 3.723 trillion in 2014.

It has attracted 14 more companies in 2014 than the previous year but the investment has decreased by 66.3 percent year-on-year.

Due to the decrease in investment, the number of new jobs fell from 2,248 in 2013 to 1,411 in 2014.

In order to expand investment, the city plans to attract domestic and overseas companies by building a cooperation network with government agencies and relevant institutions.

The city aims to attract foreign capital of USD 500 million in 2015 and plans to establish joint ventures between Korean and foreign companies in the petrochemical sector.
