The Visit Korea Committee plans to hold four major festivals in the second half of this year in an effort to attract 10 million foreign tourists and boost the regional tourism industry.

The Hallyu (Korean Wave) Dream Festival, the first of the lineup and to be held on Sep. 21-23 in Gyeongju, celebrates its third anniversary this year and will include 26 K-Pop performances, a K-Pop cover dance contest and the Family Dream Concert.

Visitors to the Korea Food Festival (Oct. 18-22 in Jeonju) can experience the flavors of Korea and participate in cooking classes for everything from traditional food to soy sauce.

The Busan International Fireworks Festival (Oct. 26-27 in Busan) will offer not just spectacular fireworks, but the largest beach parade in Korea and a host of entertainment.

Finally, participants of the Jeju Olle Walking Festival (Oct. 31-Nov. 3 in Jeju) can walk the Olle Trail and enjoy the island's deep seas, clear skies, peaceful shores and mysterious caves.
